Public opinion is a key component of a healthy democracy. Petitions and Letters to representatives of the people have been an agent of public mobilization and a method to get the attention of the representatives. In our non-violent approach to socio-political transformation it has a special place at the start of a movement. We hope that our petitions and letters will not just be signed but inspire people to take action to improve the conditions that we desire be changed. Over the past few years Young India has raised its voice on issues it has felt strongly about. Some of the petitions and letters are presented below.
