Indo-US Nuclear Deal
This is an initiative to engage the Indian and American political systems in creative ways to benefit the people of both countries. To seek and develop new synergies Young India is working directly with policy-makers from both sides. Shaping the Debate for Democracy
This is an initiative to energize people for the important political events in 2004 – the Lok Sabha (lower house) elections in India and the Presidential election in the United States. We are not endorsing any candidates but want to create awareness and encourage participation on issues that are important to them as a community and as a nation. We want people to use these elections as an opportunity to articulate these issues on a national stage as the two nations gear up for the electoral battles. This in turn will promote the culture of participatory & representative democracy
